God created man and woman and gave them the ability to enjoy sexual relations. God wanted us to enjoy the relationship that a man and woman can have, but as with so many things, man has distorted and degraded what God has made. God created sex for two reasons. One is for procreation (Genesis 1:28). It is also to create intimacy and oneness between a husband and wife. This can be seen through the book of Song of Solomon. With that said, all other kinds of sexual relations are repeatedly condemned in Scripture (Romans 1:28-32, 1 Corinthians 5:1, Ephesians 5:3-4, 1 Thessalonians 4:3-6). The Bible calls for abstinence before marriage and fidelity through marriage. Any sexual relations outside of marriage are sin and Scripture tells us that God approves only what takes place between a husband and his wife (Hebrews 13:4).Unfortunately, sex outside of marriage has become a common practice. People are encouraged to try each other out to see if they are a good fit. This is based on the perspective that because sex is good, it should be permissible for all. Sex is created to be pleasurable, but sex fulfills the purpose God intended only when kept inside of marriage. God’s design is both to fulfill marriage and protect society. Many of our social problems stem from loose standards on sexual relations – unwed mothers, sexually transmitted diseases, abortions, unwanted pregnancies, and emotional breakdowns.  It is not to say these would not exist, but they would be minor issues if God’s plan for sex was obeyed.God created sex to be a good thing, and as we observe His guidelines and rules regarding sexual relations, we will experience the fulfillment and joy that He pours out on those who obey him.Note: There may be some that have already given themselves away. God forgives, and you can make the choice now to follow the principles laid out in Scripture for your life (1 John 1:9).
