- Prepares the annual budget for the next fiscal year
- Exercises oversight of the congregation’s financial affairs to make sure that they are being conducted efficiently, giving particular attention to the prompt payment of all obligations and to the submission of benevolence monies
- Oversees the congregation’s investments, subject to the approval of the Elders
- Ensures that the church is covered adequately by insurance, subject to the approval of the Elders
- Arranges for the audit of the congregation’s financial records
- Submits minutes and reports as necessary
- Submits monthyl and annual reports to the Church Congregation
