Hello, my name is Greg Ashmore and I have been the youth minster at the Southwest Church of Christ since April of 2011. Originally from New Albany, MS, I attended Freed-Hardeman University and graduated in May of 2005 with a Bachelors of Science in Bible. I have worked for several congregations in the Southeast and bring many years of experience working with children and families. I have done postgraduate work at Harding Theological School and hope to finish those studies in the future.
I married my wife, Lizzy, in December of 2010. Lizzy works as a second grade teacher for Chesterfield County schools. We both have a strong passion for working with teens and helping them to develop a real relationship with Christ. Lizzy and I enjoy traveling, spending time with friends, and watching Ole Miss football.
I believe in a youth ministry that is built on a strong relationship with Jesus Christ. My goal is to nurture that relationship through different activities, lessons, and a personal relationship with the kids. When you visit our youth group, you will find a very welcoming group of teens that are friendly, outgoing, and fun to be around. I hope you will come and give our youth group a try. We will do our best to make you feel right at home.
