Jesus said the world would know His followers by their fruit — or what they do. At Southwest, what we do reflects our commitment to the spiritual maturity of every believer. We’ve made it our aim to encourage seekers and believers down a path toward knowing and becoming followers of Christ.We believe the call of this church is to set men, women and children on a life-changing journey of maturing faith through:
- Biblical teaching
- Life or Small Groups
- One-on-one discipleship
- Ministries that strengthen the family unit
- Opportunities to serve our community and the world
Identifying Our Target
Our target is to prepare people to be well pleasing to God (2 Corinthians 5:9-11a) and to present everyone mature in Christ by preaching Jesus, warning and teaching every person in all wisdom (Colossians 1:28-29).
Taking Aim
Our aim is to put our lives in biblical order in the following areas by:
- Establishing a personal relationship with Christ through daily studying of the Word, prayer and worship
- Living in community/communion
- Ordering our homes by God’s Word
- Participating in weekly worship
- Loving and serving the Church and the world
